What our students are saying

It is hard to migrate to a country where you have never been and do not know anyone to support you. Project Emmanuel was my light in Canada to get rid of unwanted stress and to focus on my career path. With the help of the project I got acquainted with Canadian culture and learned an importance of Christian culture and the place of a church in a society and its role for a community. It helped me to understand the country from the perspective of a citizen of Canada. I met a lot of bright individuals and expanded my network. Thank you Project Emmanuel for opening your door to me and my new life in Canada.

Project Emmanuel helped me find mentors and friends, people who I can rely on in Canada. As it was so hard for me moving to a new country, knowing that I have only one friend there. It helped me with providing basic needs while I am working and building my career in this new country.

Diana

This is my first family in Canada. I’m grateful and glad that I joined this program. It helped me settle down without any concerns about living or food (which is the most important part of settling down in a new place). We lived there as a family, we played there as friends, and we cried together as supporters. It was amazing that we stood together and supported each other even after we moved out. Thank you for everything this program has given me since day 1, and I can’t imagine how hard my life will be if I don’t take this opportunity.

This program helped me settle down quickly in Toronto. I was being loved and supported during my relocation so I never felt lonely when I came to this brand new country alone.
